Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, in a recent statement, highlighted the government’s exemplary track record of governance, development, and performance. She articulated the administration’s commitment to a more holistic GDP, encompassing Governance, Development, and Performance.
Sitharaman stated, “Besides delivering on high growth, the government is equally focused on a more comprehensive GDP—I.e., Governance, Development, and Performance.” This approach underscores the multifaceted aspects that contribute to the nation’s overall progress.
The Finance Minister further elaborated on the government’s commitment to providing transparent, accountable, and people-centric trust-based administration. Embracing a citizen-first approach with a philosophy of ‘minimum government and maximum governance,’ the administration aims to create an environment that prioritizes the needs and aspirations of the citizens.
Sitharaman provided insights into the current state of the economy, stating, “There is macroeconomic stability, investments are robust, the economy is performing well, and people are flourishing with greater aspirations for the future.” She emphasized a noteworthy 50% rise in the average real income, along with controlled inflation, empowering citizens to actively pursue their aspirations.
The Finance Minister pointed out the effective and timely delivery of programs and large-scale projects, demonstrating the government’s commitment to efficient governance and development. Sitharaman’s statements encapsulate the government’s overarching vision, emphasizing not only economic growth but also good governance, development initiatives, and measurable performance outcomes.
As Nirmala Sitharaman underscores the government’s achievements, the focus on comprehensive GDP reinforces the commitment to a well-rounded approach that goes beyond economic indicators, prioritizing the well-being and aspirations of the citizens.
