President Droupadi Murmu of India received a heartfelt telephone call from President Rumen Radev of Bulgaria, extending gratitude for the valiant efforts of the Indian Navy in rescuing the hijacked Bulgarian Vessel MV Ruen and its crew, comprising 7 Bulgarian nationals.
“The rescue mission, carried out by the Indian Navy, exemplified the strong spirit of cooperation and solidarity between the two nations during times of crisis. President Radev conveyed his appreciation for India’s swift and effective response, which ensured the safe return of the vessel and its crew to Bulgarian shores”.
During the conversation, President Murmu and President Radev affirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening the partnership between India and Bulgaria. They underscored the importance of collaboration in areas of mutual interest and emphasized the significance of maintaining regional and global security.
As they look toward the future, President Murmu and President Radev agreed to explore opportunities for enhanced bilateral engagement and mutual support. Their discussion reflected a shared vision for a robust and enduring partnership that serves the interests of both nations and contributes to regional stability and prosperity.
