In a heartfelt tribute to Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of a clean India, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) is actively participating in the Special Campaign on Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) 3.0, launched on September 15, 2023. This campaign is dedicated to promoting cleanliness and reducing pending work items such as VIP references, public grievances, and public grievance appeals.

CBIC, in collaboration with its field offices across India, is dedicated to resolving these identified issues during the campaign phase from October 2nd to October 31st, 2023. As of October 9, 2023, CBIC has identified 31 VIP references, 933 public grievances, and 357 public grievance appeals for resolution during this campaign.

Additionally, CBIC has organized a nationwide cleanliness drive across all its field offices. A total of 1,038 sites have been earmarked for conducting cleanliness campaigns during the campaign period. Furthermore, the campaign also focuses on clearing out old and unused office equipment and scrap materials, thereby freeing up valuable space for productive use.

The achievements and activities carried out during the campaign phase will be documented and shared through the SCDPM 3.0 portal. CBIC’s commitment to cleanliness and the enhancement of public spaces under its purview remains unwavering, reflecting its dedication to Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of a cleaner and more organized India.
