The Central Water Commission (CWC) has issued a critical flood forecast for the River Kosi at Birpur in the Supaul district of Bihar. According to the latest data, the river is in a severe situation, with its water level standing at 74.8 meters. This level is slightly above the Danger Level of 74.7 meters, indicating the potential risks associated with the current water levels.

As per the CWC’s report, the River Kosi is currently experiencing a falling trend. The water level is gradually receding, which is a positive sign.
