Chiranjeevi was born on 22 August 1955, Chiranjeevi is an Indian actor, film producer and former politician who predominantly works in Telugu cinema. Including films in Telugu, Chiranjeevi starred in over 150 feature films, as well as some in Hindi, Tamil and Kannada. One of the most successful and influential actors of Telugu film industry, he is regarded as such.
Spanning four decades, his film career won him three Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Awards, a Raghupathi Venkaiah Award, and nine Filmfare Awards South. He was honoured with the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian award, in 2006 for his contributions to Indian cinema and was presented with an honorary doctorate from Andhra University. From 2012 to 2014, he served as the Minister of Tourism for the Government of India.
