In a significant step towards fostering holistic well-being in Northeast India, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma laid the foundation stone for the region’s first Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy. This momentous occasion, held on a promising January day, is poised to revolutionize healthcare while simultaneously creating avenues for employment.
The establishment of the Central Research Institute is a testament to Sarma’s commitment to promoting traditional wellness practices. Yoga and Naturopathy, with their roots in ancient Indian traditions, are acknowledged for their holistic approach to health. Chief Minister Sarma, known for his proactive governance, expressed enthusiasm about the potential impact of this institute on public health and employment. “Serving as a beacon for holistic well-being, this institute will not only enhance healthcare but also create job opportunities, contributing to the overall development of the region,” he remarked during the foundation stone-laying ceremony.
“In addition to this groundbreaking initiative, Himanta Biswa Sarma actively engaged with the indigenous communities during the Moran Mahotsav. Addressing a gathering of elders, Sarma highlighted the cultural richness and importance of indigenous traditions. This interaction emphasized the government’s commitment to inclusivity and respect for the diverse heritage of the region”.
As the Chief Minister continues to pioneer initiatives that blend tradition with progress, the Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy stands out as a beacon of health and employment prospects for the people of Northeast India.
