Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Chief Minister of the Indian state of Assam, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for chairing a recent meeting of the Assam Cabinet in Guwahati. Sarma referred to Modi as a “Margdarshak,” which means a guide or mentor and appreciated his dedication to the state’s development. During the meeting, the Prime Minister reviewed ongoing schemes and advised the state ministers to focus on the development of the region. The meeting was seen as a significant move towards strengthening the cooperation between the central government and the state of Assam.
