West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has declared a substantial raise in the monthly remuneration for ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) and Anganwadi workers, effective April 2024. ASHA workers will now receive Rs. 750 more per month, while Anganwadi helpers will see their monthly remuneration increase by Rs. 500.
Expressing her delight over the decision, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee emphasized the importance of acknowledging the dedicated service rendered by ASHA and Anganwadi workers. Despite facing financial constraints, the government remains committed to prioritizing the well-being of its people, ensuring they lead fulfilling and prosperous lives.
This announcement reflects the state government’s unwavering dedication to supporting frontline workers and promoting the welfare of vulnerable communities across West Bengal.
