Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar conveyed warm wishes to Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on the occasion of his birthday. Yadav, born on November 9, 1989, holds the significant position of the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and is an influential figure in Bihar’s political landscape.
Tejashwi Prasad Yadav is not only known for his political prowess but also for his prior career as a professional cricketer. Currently holding crucial portfolios in Bihar’s government, including Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Minister of Road Construction and Public Works Department, Minister of Urban Development and Housing, and Minister of Rural Works and Development, he plays a vital role in shaping the state’s policies and governance.
Yadav, a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly representing the Raghopur Assembly constituency since 2015, leads the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), the most prominent political party in Bihar. Additionally, he serves as the chairperson of the Mahagathbandhan alliance, which forms the ruling coalition in the Bihar Government.
“His political journey has seen notable milestones, such as being the youngest Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and the youngest Leader of the Opposition in India during their respective periods. Notably, he was featured in the Indian Express’ ‘100 Most Powerful Indians’ lists in both 2020 and 2021, acknowledging his influential role in the country’s political sphere”.
