CM Pema Khandu Discusses Strategic Road Progress with Lt Gen Raghu Srinivasan

In a significant development aimed at bolstering defense capabilities and enhancing border connectivity, Chief Minister Pema Khandu of Arunachal Pradesh met with Lt Gen Raghu Srinivasan, VSM, Director General Border Roads (DGBR), along with other high-ranking officials.

The meeting, which also included Shri PKH Singh, VSM, Additional Director General Border Roads (Eastern Command), Brigadier Yogesh Nair, VSM, Chief Engineer (Arunank), and Col Vishal Shrivastava, Technical Secretary to DGBR, focused on the progress of strategic roads undertaken by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) in the region.

During the discussions, CM Pema Khandu underscored the critical importance of these strategic road projects in bolstering defense infrastructure and ensuring better connectivity along the border areas. Recognizing the challenges posed by the rugged terrain and sensitive ecological zones, he emphasized the need to adopt modern technology and best practices in infrastructure development to minimize environmental impact.

In line with his vision for sustainable development, CM Pema Khandu stressed the incorporation of eco-friendly measures and innovative solutions in road construction activities, particularly in ecologically sensitive areas.
