Meghalaya: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma of Meghalaya extends warm congratulations and best wishes to Justice S. Vaidyanathan on his assumption of office as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Meghalaya. Justice Vaidyanathan’s appointment marks a significant milestone in the judicial landscape of the state, and CM Sangma welcomes him wholeheartedly.
The swearing-in ceremony, held at Raj Bhavan, witnessed Governor Phagu Chauhan administering the oath of office to Justice S. Vaidyanathan. This formal induction into the esteemed position follows the superannuation of Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee in November last year, further emphasizing the importance of a smooth transition in the judicial leadership of Meghalaya.
Justice Vaidyanathan brings with him a wealth of experience, having served as a judge of the Madras High Court since October 2013. His tenure on the bench of one of India’s most esteemed high courts underscores his commitment to upholding the principles of justice and fairness.
As Justice S. Vaidyanathan assumes the mantle of Chief Justice of the High Court of Meghalaya, he is poised to contribute significantly to the administration of justice in the state. His appointment reflects a commitment to excellence and integrity in the judiciary, and CM Conrad K Sangma expresses confidence in Justice Vaidyanathan’s ability to discharge his duties with diligence and impartiality.
