Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took a momentous step towards achieving the goal of providing pucca houses to all citizens in the state. In a landmark event, he inaugurated 70 thousand houses constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), showcasing the government’s commitment to affordable housing for all.
The houses, constructed at a cost of ₹2695 crore, are a testament to the state government’s efforts to address the housing needs of the underprivileged and marginalized communities. By providing secure and stable housing, the government aims to uplift the living standards of its citizens and create a better future for them.
In a moment of digital advancement, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated the houses with a single click from Ravindra Bhawan in Bhopal. This technology-driven approach reflects the government’s commitment to efficiency and transparency in delivering essential services to the people.
Moreover, to facilitate the beneficiaries in their house construction endeavors, the Chief Minister released an amount of ₹300 crore. This financial support empowers the beneficiaries and aids them in building their dream homes, thus fostering a sense of security and pride in homeownership.
The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) is a flagship scheme of the central government aimed at providing affordable housing to urban residents. Madhya Pradesh’s significant progress in implementing this scheme reflects its dedication to inclusive development and ensuring a roof over every citizen’s head.
