On the 2nd of August, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is set to unveil a series of transformative irrigation projects, valued at ₹5477 crore, during the Kisan Sammelan today. These projects are poised to significantly enhance agricultural capabilities and water management in the region.
The eagerly awaited event will witness the inauguration of Phase-I of the Kundalia Pressure Irrigation Project, strategically situated in Agar-Malwa. This project holds the promise of revolutionizing irrigation practices in the area, contributing to increased agricultural productivity and bolstering rural livelihoods.
In a testament to the government’s commitment to agricultural advancement, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will also inaugurate the Mandsaur-Garoth Irrigation Project. This initiative holds immense potential to address water scarcity concerns and promote sustainable farming practices, ultimately leading to improved crop yields and overall prosperity for local farmers.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the Malhargarh Pressurized Project through a ceremonial Bhumi Pujan. This landmark moment signifies the initiation of a project that will further fortify the region’s irrigation infrastructure, opening avenues for more efficient water allocation and utilization.
The Kisan Sammelan serves as an important platform for farmers, policymakers, and stakeholders to convene, exchange insights, and collectively work toward the advancement of agricultural practices. The unveiling of these irrigation projects is a testament to the government’s unwavering dedication to rural development and underscores the pivotal role agriculture plays in the region’s economy.
The infusion of ₹5477 crore into these irrigation projects not only marks a substantial investment in the future of agriculture but also exemplifies Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s vision for a prosperous and resilient agricultural sector.
