On the 18th of January CM Yogi pays Humble tribute to former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Veer Bahadur Singh on his birth anniversary.

Know About Veer Bahadur Singh:-

Belonging to the Indian National Congress, Veer Bahadur Singh (18 January 1935 – 30 May 1989) was an Indian politician. He served as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and the Minister of Communications. He was an author, too.

Gorakhpur is the birthplace of Veer Bahadur Singh. He was born into a Rajput family. Veer Bahadur Singh was Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh from 24 September 1985 to 25 June 1988.

Late Om Prakash Pandey and Shri Brij Bhushan Singh were his close aides. Veer Bahadur Singh has entrusted him with his political activities in eastern Uttar Pradesh.

He was a very active budding leader at Allahabad University, Banaras Hindu University, and Purvanchal University. Under the leadership of Om Prakash Pandey, the political activities at the grassroots level i.e. “Student leadership” at the university level reached its zenith.

Om Prakash’s populist measures towards people’s atrocities and swift decision-making were the root cause of their political success. The sudden death of Om Prakash Pandey due to an unknown reason in early 1988 broke the reign of burgeoning student political water in the region.

After the death of Mr. Brij Bhushan Singh, who was too young to accept responsibility, all student associations dispersed. Therefore, he withdrew from his political career.
