Delhi Traffic: In light of the upcoming Baba Haridas Mela scheduled to take place at Jharoda Village, Najafgarh from 13th to 14th April 2024, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued important traffic regulations to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of commuters.
During the festival, a heavy influx of devotees and visitors is expected, leading to increased vehicular movement in the vicinity. To manage the traffic effectively and prevent congestion, the following regulations will be in effect:
- Route Diversions: Certain routes leading to Jharoda Village may be diverted or temporarily closed to facilitate the movement of pedestrians and vehicles attending the Mela. Commuters are advised to plan alternate routes in advance.
- Parking Restrictions: Limited parking spaces will be available near the Mela venue. Visitors are encouraged to utilize designated parking areas to avoid inconvenience and ensure orderly parking.
- Increased Vigilance: Traffic police personnel will be deployed at key junctions and intersections to regulate traffic flow and assist commuters. Drivers are requested to cooperate with authorities and adhere to traffic signals and instructions.
- Public Transport: Additional public transport services may be arranged to accommodate the surge in passengers during the festival. Commuters are encouraged to utilize public transport options wherever possible to ease traffic congestion.
- Road Safety: As roads may witness heavy footfall, motorists are reminded to drive cautiously, adhere to speed limits, and watch out for pedestrians. Pedestrians are advised to use designated crossings and footpaths for their safety.
The Delhi Traffic Police urges all commuters to cooperate with authorities and follow the traffic regulations diligently to ensure a hassle-free experience during the Baba Haridas Mela. Stay updated with traffic advisories and plan your travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
