Department of Defence Production Initiates Special Campaign 3.0 for Enhanced Cleanliness and Efficiency

The Department of Defence Production is actively implementing Special Campaign 3.0, focusing on instilling cleanliness practices and reducing delays within Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs) and their affiliated offices.

This Swachhta Campaign 3.0 is a significant nationwide effort, with the enthusiastic participation of all DPSUs and Department of Defence Production (DDP) entities. To date, the department has conducted 746 cleanliness drives as part of the Special Campaign, extensively shared on social media platforms. Additionally, they are diligently addressing pending cases to reduce existing backlogs.

As the third week of the campaign concludes, the Department of Defence Production has achieved notable milestones:

  1. Reviewed 21,000 files/records, with files segregated for weeding out.
  2. Freed 7.5 lakh square feet of space by disposing of scrap and unused items.
  3. Disposed of 2700 metric tons of scrap and unused items.
  4. Earned revenue of 20 crore through scrap disposal.
  5. Addressed 153 public grievances.
  6. Resolved 52 public grievance appeals.

With clear objectives and a robust monitoring system, the department is wholeheartedly committed to realizing the goals of Special Campaign 3.0. Progress is reviewed daily at the highest levels, and updates are regularly uploaded to the SCDPM portal of the DARPG.

The campaign’s public awareness is disseminated through various channels, including social media, banners, posters, and engaging painting competitions. Notably, over 570 tweets tagged with #SpecialCampaign3.0 have been shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) by both DPSUs and DDP, further amplifying the campaign’s reach and impact.
