Dehradun: Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Minister of Health and Family Welfare, chaired a consultative parliamentary committee meeting in Dehradun. The meeting focused on strengthening the public health infrastructure and discussing key strategies to address critical gaps in health infrastructure, surveillance, and health research. The Minister also highlighted the significance of the Pradhan Mantri Arogya Bharat (PM-ABHIM) initiative in achieving these goals.
During the meeting, Dr. Mandaviya emphasized the importance of a robust public health infrastructure, which plays a vital role in providing quality healthcare services to the citizens. The discussions revolved around identifying and addressing the existing gaps in health infrastructure, ensuring better access to healthcare facilities, and improving the overall quality of healthcare delivery.
The Minister highlighted the role of PM-ABHIM in strengthening the health infrastructure. The Pradhan Mantri Arogya Bharat scheme aims to provide comprehensive healthcare coverage to the most vulnerable sections of society, ensuring access to quality healthcare services without financial constraints. Dr. Mandaviya emphasized the need to leverage PM-ABHIM to enhance the public health infrastructure and make healthcare more accessible and affordable for all.
The meeting also focused on the critical gaps in health infrastructure, surveillance, and health research. Dr. Mandaviya stressed the importance of filling these gaps to ensure a strong and resilient healthcare system. The discussions encompassed strategies to enhance surveillance mechanisms, improve data collection and analysis, and promote research and development in the field of healthcare.
