A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national executive and the former chief spokesperson for the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Jitendra Singh has made significant strides in his political career. He secured the Udhampur seat in the Indian general elections of 2014 and 2019, achieving the highest margin of votes for the respective Lok Sabhas.
Beyond his political role, Dr. Singh’s professional journey is equally remarkable. He has a profound background as a diabetes and endocrinology professor, contributing significantly to healthcare and medical research. His affiliations with organizations like the Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI) and the National Scientific Committee Diabetes reflect his dedication to advancing medical understanding and practice in the country.

Not limited to his medical and political engagements, Dr. Jitendra Singh’s contributions extend to being a prolific author with eight published books and a columnist in leading newspapers. His diverse roles as a consultant, and clinical practitioner, and his pioneering role in the Diabetes in Pregnancy Study in India highlight his vast impact across varied domains.
