On the 15th of May Dr. S. Jaishankar, the Minister of External Affairs of India, recently met with Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson of Sweden. During the meeting, Dr. Jaishankar conveyed the personal greetings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed his appreciation for PM Kristersson’s commitment to strengthening the bilateral relationship between India and Sweden.
“The meeting between Dr. Jaishankar and PM Kristersson holds immense importance as it signifies the continued efforts to foster cooperation and enhance ties between the two nations. It highlights the mutual interest in deepening the strategic partnership and exploring new avenues of collaboration in various sectors”.
Dr. Jaishankar conveyed Prime Minister Modi’s sincere regards and appreciation for PM Kristersson’s dedication to strengthening the India-Sweden relationship. The personal greetings extended by Prime Minister Modi reflect the significance that India places on its ties with Sweden and the commitment to further deepen the engagement between the two nations.
During the meeting, both leaders discussed a wide range of bilateral and global issues of mutual interest. They emphasized the need for enhanced cooperation in areas such as trade and investment, technology and innovation, sustainable development, and climate change. The discussions also focused on opportunities for collaboration in sectors like healthcare, renewable energy, manufacturing, and research and development.
