On the 11th of December President, Droupadi Murmu paid floral tributes to Shri Pranab Mukherjee, former President of India, on his birth anniversary at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
“Shri Mukherjee was a great leader and statesman, and it is fitting that we remember him on his birth anniversary. He served India with distinction and was respected by all”.
She recalled the many years of service that he had dedicated to the nation. She also praised his dedication and commitment to his work, which had earned him the respect of all. She wished him all the best for the future and hoped that he would continue to serve the nation with distinction.
As we all know “He used to be the President of India. During his five-decade-long and distinguished political career, Mukherjee assumed various roles in the government and his party, making him a stalwart of Indian politics”.
He was known as the ‘Man for All Season’s and was a member of the Congress party in matters of politics as well as governance.
“He was a five-time member of the Rajya Sabha and was elected twice in the Lok Sabha, and his authority on parliamentary procedure was well-known”.
