In 2019, Ayushmann Khurrana charmed audiences with his portrayal of Pooja in ‘Dream Girl’. Now, in 2023, he reprises the iconic character in ‘Dream Girl 2’, this time in the flesh rather than just as a voice. Director Raj Shandilya brings Pooja’s exuberance back to the big screen, promising another rollercoaster of laughter and comedy.
Plot Unveiled
Karam, played by Ayushmann Khurrana, resides in Mathura alongside his father, portrayed by Annu Kapoor. With a friend named Smiley (Manjot Singh) and a girlfriend Pari (Ananya Panday), Karam’s life takes a twist. To win Pari’s father’s approval and alleviate his own financial burdens, Karam adopts the persona of Pooja. His journey unfolds into a convoluted web involving a debt-ridden father, an arranged marriage with Shahrukh (Abhishek Banerjee), son of Abu Salem (Paresh Rawal), and a cast of colorful characters including Sona Bhai (Vijay Raaz), Shoukiya (Rajpal Yadav), Jumani (Seema Pahwa), and Yusuf Ali (Asrani). This chaotic comedy of errors becomes a crescendo of events that shape Karam’s whimsical existence.
