The National Center for Seismology (NCS) has confirmed the occurrence of an earthquake in the region of Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir. The earthquake, measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale, struck at 23:06:42 IST on April 26, 2024.

According to the NCS report, the earthquake’s epicenter was located at a depth of 10 km, with coordinates recorded at Lat: 33.35 and Long: 76.70. The seismic activity serves as a reminder of the region’s susceptibility to tectonic movements.
