Chhattisgarh: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted search operations on the 2nd of November 2023, focusing on unraveling money laundering networks associated with the Mahadev Book Online Betting App in Chhattisgarh. This move was a part of the ongoing efforts to curtail illegal financial activities and crack down on illicit practices within the realm of online betting.
During the thorough search operations, the ED uncovered a significant cache of financial assets linked to these networks. An astounding sum of Rs. 5.39 Crore in cash and a substantial bank balance of Rs. 15.59 Crore was intercepted during the investigation. The identified funds were subsequently frozen or seized by the authorities.
The targeted operation aimed to clamp down on the financial underpinnings supporting the Mahadev Book Online Betting App and its associated money laundering activities. The substantial seizure of both cash and bank balances signifies a notable stride in the efforts to curb illicit financial activities and disrupt the flow of illegal funds within the betting network.
The ED’s intervention and subsequent freezing or seizure of such substantial amounts underscore the gravity of the situation and the concerted efforts to combat financial malpractices associated with online betting platforms.
