Empowering Business Growth: DBT Launches New ‘Help To Grow’ Site To Boost UK Economy.

Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) has recently launched a centralized website aimed at assisting the 5.5 million businesses in the United Kingdom. The ‘Help to Grow’ site aims to help both small and large businesses acquire new skills, reach more customers, and increase their profits.

Many businesses have expressed a need for accessible information from the government, which is why the centralized site was created. ‘Help to Grow’ consolidates information and support that businesses need in one easy-to-find location. This website also allows businesses to access the wealth of expertise offered by DBT.

The DBT and the UK Government are committed to economic growth, as outlined in the Prime Minister’s priorities for 2023. The new website will be a pivotal tool for helping firms reach their business ambitions, from learning new digital skills to effective management and global exporting.

‘Help to Grow’ is now live, and it aims to help the 5.4 million small businesses that drive the UK economy. This unique proposition from the newly-formed DBT takes businesses from start-ups to scaling up and exporting their goods and services across the world. British businesses will be supported and guided every step of the way, unlocking global markets.

Kevin Hollinrake MP, the Business and Trade Minister, declared that when businesses have access to the proper resources for expansion, it results in higher profits, more job opportunities with good salaries, and overall improvement of the British economy. The self-employed and small businesses, which are the foundation of our communities, are supported by this Government. Today, I am delighted to unveil the ‘Help to Grow’ website, a platform that I trust will be instrumental in aiding businesses to flourish and prosper, both domestically and internationally.

The centralized site will enable more businesses to achieve their trading ambitions by boosting exports in our race to £1 trillion a year, increasing inward investment, and removing business trade barriers. The UK Government’s ‘Help to Grow’ website will amalgamate various existing support and help services, providing advice, guidance, and assistance to its users.

The DBT will continuously update and improve ‘Help to Grow’ by working across the government and listening to the business community and their feedback. This website will be a valuable resource for businesses looking to grow and succeed in the UK and globally.
