In a groundbreaking move towards fostering empowerment and inclusivity, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan orchestrated a transformative moment during the Ladli Bahna Sammelan event in Rewa. With a single click, he initiated the seamless transfer of a substantial sum of more than ₹18 crores to the accounts of 1.81 lakh deserving women beneficiaries hailing from the special backward Baiga, Bharia, and Saharia tribes.
“This remarkable feat underscores the commitment of the state government to uplift marginalized communities and promote their socio-economic development. The Diet Grant Scheme, through which this financial aid was disbursed, not only reflects a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges faced by these tribes but also embodies a proactive approach toward addressing them”.
The Ladli Bahna Sammelan serves as a platform for celebrating the achievements and contributions of tribal women, while also ensuring their access to crucial resources. By facilitating this significant monetary transfer in a single click, Chief Minister Chouhan has streamlined the process and removed unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles, allowing beneficiaries to receive their due support promptly and efficiently.
“The transfer of funds directly into the accounts of the women beneficiaries not only empowers them but also encourages financial independence, self-reliance, and a sense of dignity. It acknowledges their role as vital pillars of their families and communities and demonstrates the government’s dedication to their well-being”.
The event holds wider implications, symbolizing a larger vision for the advancement of marginalized groups in the state. It sets a precedent for leveraging technology to bridge gaps and ensure that welfare schemes reach those who need them the most, thereby promoting an equitable and just society.
