Akshay Oberoi as Squadron Leader Basheer Khan: Siddharth Anand’s much-anticipated directorial, “Fighter,” is set to mark the first onscreen collaboration between Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan. The film, generating significant excitement since its announcement in 2021, recently intensified anticipation with the release of character posters for key cast members, including Anil Kapoor and Karan Singh Grover. Now, the makers have revealed Akshay Oberoi’s character poster, introducing him as Squadron Leader Basheer Khan in the film.
The Fighter poster, shared by Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan on Wednesday morning, presents Akshay Oberoi in the Air Force uniform, sporting dark sunglasses. The caption discloses more details about Akshay’s character, referring to him as Squadron Leader Basheer Khan, with the call sign “Bash” and the designation of Weapon System Operator in the Air Dragons unit.
“Fighter,” directed by Siddharth Anand, is an upcoming aerial action film featuring a stellar cast, including Deepika Padukone, Hrithik Roshan, Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Talat Aziz. The film’s character posters have been gradually unveiled, with Karan Singh Grover introduced as Squadron Leader Sartaj Gill in the previous reveal.
Deepika Padukone portrays Squadron Leader Minal Rathore, while Hrithik Roshan takes on the role of Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, aka Patty. Anil Kapoor’s character is Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh, known as Rocky, in “Fighter.” The film is scheduled to hit the big screens on January 25, 2024, promising a riveting aerial action experience for audiences.
