The prestigious 69th Filmfare Awards commenced on January 27, beginning with the announcement of technical category winners. The grand event is currently unfolding in Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat, with the film industry’s luminaries in attendance. Excitement fills the air as awards across diverse categories are revealed.
In the Best Story category, Manoj Bajpayee’s ‘Zoram’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2′ emerged victorious, showcasing exceptional storytelling. Another notable triumph was Vidhu Vinod Chopra clinching the Filmfare Award for Best Screenplay for the compelling narrative of ’12th Fail.’
The film ‘Animal,’ directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, secured its place in the winners’ circle at the 69th Filmfare Awards. The stellar music team, including Pritam, Vishal Mishra, Manan Bhardwaj, Shreyas Puranik, and Bhupinder Babbal, received the Best Music Album award for their outstanding work in ‘Animal.’ Ranbir Kapoor, an icon of Indian cinema, graced the ceremony, exuding charm in a striking black ensemble.
Shabana Azmi shone brightly as she bagged the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Role in the Female Category, recognized for her stellar performance in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.’ Vicky Kaushal was honored with the Best Supporting Role in the male category for his role in the film ‘Dinky.’
Adding to the glamour, Salman Khan’s niece, Alizeh Agnihotri, was bestowed with the Best Debut Award in the Female category for her role in ‘Pharre.’ Meanwhile, Aditya Rawal secured the Best Debut Award in the men’s category for his outstanding performance in ‘Faraj.’
The 69th Filmfare Awards stands as a glittering night, celebrating cinematic brilliance and acknowledging the outstanding contributions of stars and filmmakers in the Indian film industry.
