Based on the results of the written examination for the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2021 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 8th August 2021, as well as the interviews for the Personality Test held from 31st October 2022 to 3rd November 2022 and from 28th March 2023 to 26th May 2023, the following is the merit-based list of candidates recommended for appointment to the prestigious positions of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces. The Central Armed Police Forces include the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
2.1 A total of 151 candidates have been recommended for appointment, with the following breakdown:

2.2 The final selection or appointment of the recommended candidates will depend on the outcome of the WP(C) No. 5877/2022 case, which is currently awaiting a decision in the Honorable High Court of Delhi.
2.3 The result of one candidate has been withheld keeping in view the direction of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in CA No. 7859/2021.
3. The Government will make appointments to various services based on the number of available vacancies, ensuring that candidates meet all the eligibility conditions stated in the Examination Rules. Verification procedures will be conducted to ensure compliance with the prescribed requirements. Allotment to different services will be determined by the candidates’ merit ranking and their preferences for specific services.

- The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) operates a dedicated ‘Facilitation Counter’ located near the Examination Hall Building on its campus. Candidates can visit the counter during working days between 10:00 hours and 17:00 hours to obtain any information or clarification regarding their examinations and recruitments. Alternatively, candidates can also contact the UPSC via telephone at the numbers 011-23385271/23381125. Additionally, the results will be accessible on the official UPSC website at www.upsc.gov.in. It is important to note that candidate marks are expected to be available on the website within 15 days from the date of result declaration.
