Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Launched 7 Infrastructure Projects Worth ₹ 1,000 Crore

Delhi: Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman, virtually inaugurated 7 infrastructure projects worth over ₹1,000 crore from New Delhi.

The launch, attended by senior officials including Shri Sanjay Malhotra, Secretary, of the Department of Revenue; Dr. Vivek Joshi, Secretary, of the Department of Financial Services; and Shri Nitin Gupta, Chairman, of Central Board of Direct Taxes, aimed to accelerate the development initiatives and ensure timely completion.

Addressing the occasion, Nirmala Sitharaman stressed the importance of timely project execution, urging departments to ensure construction commences promptly and projects are completed within the stipulated timeframe. She reiterated the government’s commitment to officials’ welfare and encouraged diligence in nation-building efforts.

Highlighting the significance of the projects, Smt. Sitharaman emphasized their role in instilling confidence and boosting officials’ morale. She urged officials to fulfill their duties diligently during the “Amrit Kaal” of nation-building.

In his address, Shri Nitin Gupta, Chairman, CBDT, outlined the features of the new buildings, emphasizing their state-of-the-art design and adherence to green building norms. The projects prioritize sustainability, incorporating facilities such as EV charging points, solar power plants, and rainwater harvesting systems. Additionally, they offer modern amenities including community halls, fitness centers, and recreational areas, aiming to enhance occupants’ well-being.

The launch of these infrastructure projects underscores the government’s commitment to fostering sustainable development and ensuring officials’ welfare, aligning with its vision for a progressive and inclusive future.
