Minister G. Kishan Reddy reaffirmed the Modi government’s dedication to resolving public concerns by announcing the launch of ‘Bharat Rice’ at an affordable price of Rs. 29 per kilogram. Addressing the issue of rising rice prices in the open market, Reddy stated that the government is committed to providing relief to citizens through this initiative.
The sale of ‘Bharat Rice’ commenced recently, offering subsidized rice to consumers. Initially available in 5kg and 10kg bags, the rice will be accessible through various channels including the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED), National Cooperative Consumers Federation of India (NCCF), Central Bhandar outlets, and e-commerce platforms.
Minister Reddy emphasized that the introduction of ‘Bharat Rice’ underscores the government’s proactive approach to addressing public concerns and ensuring food security for all. By offering quality rice at an affordable price, the initiative aims to alleviate the burden of high rice prices on the common man while promoting accessibility and affordability.
The ‘Bharat Rice’ initiative aligns with the government’s vision of inclusive development and ensuring the well-being of every citizen. Minister Reddy reiterated the government’s commitment to standing by the people and providing timely solutions to their problems, reflecting the ethos of responsive governance under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
