Jitendra Singh, the Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, recently announced that the government’s grievance redressal rate has crossed one lakh cases per month on News on Air. This milestone is a testament to the government’s commitment to providing efficient and effective public services to the citizens of India.
The grievance redressal mechanism aims to provide a platform for citizens to register their complaints and grievances against government departments and agencies. Since its inception, the mechanism has received an overwhelming response from citizens, with over 30 lakh grievances registered.
The government’s focus on resolving grievances has yielded impressive results, with over 97% of the grievances resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner. This is a significant improvement from the earlier system, which was perceived as bureaucratic and slow-moving.
The minister also highlighted the use of technology in the grievance redressal mechanism, which has made it easier for citizens to register complaints and track their status. The portal, which is available in multiple languages, enables citizens to lodge their complaints from the comfort of their homes and offices, making the process more accessible and efficient.
The government’s commitment to grievance redressal has not gone unnoticed. The government’s grievance redressal mechanism has come a long way in a short span of time.
The crossing of one lakh cases per month is a significant milestone and a testament to the government’s commitment to providing efficient and effective public services.
