The Ministry of Culture, Government of India, has officially announced the fourth edition of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, launched under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The initiative seeks to inspire millions of Indians to bring the National Flag — the Tiranga — into their homes, hearts, and celebrations this Independence Day.

Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat announced that over 5 lakh youth volunteers have registered this year to encourage nationwide participation. He described Har Ghar Tiranga as “an emotional movement uniting 1.4 billion Indians under our National Flag,” highlighting its role in fostering patriotism, civic pride, and awareness of the Tiranga’s enduring significance as a symbol of democracy and independence.

Shri Vivek Aggarwal, Secretary, Ministry of Culture, presented a detailed overview of the campaign, while officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Jal Shakti shared their respective event plans. Senior CAPF officials also attended the briefing, underscoring inter-ministerial collaboration.

The Har Ghar Tiranga initiative seeks to shift the association with the National Flag from a formal act to a deeply personal bond. Citizens are encouraged to hoist the Tiranga with pride at homes, offices, and public spaces, and to share their moments online using #HarGharTiranga.

By bringing the Tiranga into everyday life, the campaign reaffirms India’s unity, integrity, and collective responsibility toward nation-building. It also serves as a living tribute to the sacrifices made for freedom and a pledge to uphold democratic values.

In just three years, Har Ghar Tiranga has evolved into a nationwide people’s movement, adding vibrancy and inclusivity to Independence Day celebrations. The 2025 edition aspires to set new benchmarks, bringing the entire nation together in a collective spirit of pride, unity, and patriotism.
