Haryana School Bus Mishap: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extends his deepest condolences to the families impacted by the devastating school bus accident in Mahendragarh, Haryana. Expressing profound sorrow over the loss of innocent lives, PM Modi emphasizes his solidarity with the bereaved families during this difficult time.
“The bus accident that occurred in Mahendragarh, Haryana, is very painful. My condolences are with all the families who have lost their children in this accident,” stated PM Modi. He further conveyed his wishes for the speedy recovery of all the injured children, assuring that the state government and local administration are actively engaged in providing assistance to the victims and their families.
Investigations into the tragic incident reveal alarming negligence on the part of the school management and Regional Transport Authority (RTA). The driver of the school bus, Dharmendra, was found to be intoxicated at the time of the accident, despite the management’s knowledge of his alcohol addiction. Despite this knowledge, the keys to the bus were entrusted to him.
The grave consequences of the management’s irresponsibility are evident, with eight children losing their lives and 37 others sustaining injuries in the accident. Witnesses recount how the driver’s inebriated state was apparent even before the journey began, yet no action was taken to prevent the tragedy.
The school director’s evasion of responsibility, including switching off his mobile phone after the incident, further compounds the severity of the situation. Officials associated with the investigation are reluctant to provide details, raising concerns about transparency and accountability in the aftermath of the accident.
The accident, occurring on Thursday morning, underscores the urgent need for stringent enforcement of safety protocols and accountability measures in school transportation. PM Modi’s expression of sympathy and assurance of assistance reflects the government’s commitment to providing support to the affected families and ensuring justice for the victims.
