An actor, Hirdesh Singh, known professionally as Yo Yo Honey Singh or simply Honey Singh, was born on 15 March 1983. He is also a music producer, rapper, singer, and songwriter. Starting out in 2003 as a session and recording artist, he became a bhangra and hip-hop, music producer. He later became successful with his own songs and started making songs for Bollywood films.

Hirdesh Singh was born on 15 March 1983 into a Punjabi family to parents Sardaar Sarabjit Singh and Bhupinder Kaur in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India. Sneha Singh is Hirdesh’s sister. He graduated from Guru Nanak Public School in the Pitampura neighborhood of Punjabi Bagh, North West Delhi, where his family moved to during his childhood.
