If your WhatsApp is just saying “connecting,” there are a few things you can do to try and fix the issue.
First, assure that you have a strong internet connection. If you’re on Wireless fidelity, try moving closer to the router. If you’re on cellular data, try moving to an area with a better signal.
If your internet connection is strong and you’re still seeing the “connecting” message, try restarting your phone. App issues can sometimes be fixed with this.
If restarting your phone doesn’t help, the next step is to delete and reinstall WhatsApp. Be sure to back up your chats first, as this will delete all of your WhatsApp data.
Finally, if none of these solutions work, it’s possible that there’s an issue with WhatsApp itself. In this case, the best thing to do is wait for an update from the app.
