The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert regarding heavy to very heavy rainfall in certain areas of Haryana and Chandigarh. The latest meteorological data indicates significant rainfall activities, with Barara experiencing a substantial 12 cm of rainfall and Punhana recording 10 cm. Other locations have also reported rainfall, making it imperative for residents to remain vigilant.
The presence of such heavy rainfall patterns could be attributed to various atmospheric factors, including monsoon systems and localized weather conditions. While rainfall is essential for replenishing water sources and supporting agriculture, it can also lead to challenges such as waterlogging, flooding, and associated hazards.
