The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Red alert for the regions of Konkan and Goa, as well as Madhya Maharashtra. According to the forecast, these areas are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall, with the possibility of extremely heavy rainfall exceeding 204.4 mm, on the 18th and 19th of July.
Authorities and residents in Konkan and Goa, as well as Madhya Maharashtra, are urged to take necessary precautions and remain vigilant during the forecasted heavy rainfall. The potential for extremely heavy rainfall raises concerns about possible waterlogging, flooding, and other associated hazards.

The forecasted heavy rainfall in Konkan and Goa, as well as Madhya Maharashtra, can have several consequences. Some of the potential impacts include:
