Jharkhand: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a crucial advisory for the residents of Jharkhand, cautioning about the imminent onset of dense to very dense fog on January 18, 2024. According to the forecast, visibility is expected to drop below 50 meters in isolated pockets of the state during the night and morning hours.
The warning underscores the potential risks associated with reduced visibility, particularly for commuters and travelers. Dense fog can significantly impact transportation, leading to disruptions and delays. Additionally, it poses challenges for daily activities and can compromise public safety.
Residents are strongly advised to stay updated on weather alerts and take necessary precautions during this period. It is recommended to limit travel, especially during early morning and late night hours when fog density is expected to be at its peak. Motorists are urged to drive with extra caution, using headlights and fog lights to enhance visibility. Pedestrians should also exercise vigilance, especially while crossing roads.
