IPL 2024 Auction: BCCI Increases Franchise Budgets to Rs 100 Crore

The Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) is gearing up for the much-anticipated Indian Premier League 2024 and has made a significant announcement – an increase in the budget of the franchises. In a noteworthy move, the purse for franchises to acquire players in the upcoming IPL has been boosted to a substantial Rs 100 Crore.

In the IPL, a yearly ritual involves the retention and release of players by various franchises. These players are then put up for auction during the IPL 2024 Auction. Franchises like RCB, MI, CSK, DC, RR, PBKS, KKR, LR, and GT announce their respective lists of released and retained players for IPL 2024.

The IPL Auction 2024 is an eagerly awaited event where other franchises place bids for the released players at a venue specified in the IPL Auction 2024 Schedule (to be announced soon). The auction is a live event broadcast on television, providing fans with an exciting opportunity to see how the teams are assembled, and the contract prices at which players are signed.

As per information from the BCCI, the auction is set to take place in Mumbai in December 2023. While the final IPL 2024 Auction Player List is yet to be released on iplt20.com, an expected list of players and their cricket styles is given in the table below:
