Jan Aushadhi, the government initiative to provide affordable and quality medicines to the masses, has been receiving an overwhelming response from the public since its inception. In line with its commitment to serving the people, Jan Aushadhi celebrates Jan Aushadhi Diwas every year on March 7 to promote the use of generic medicines and make people aware of the benefits of using Jan Aushadhi medicines.
This year’s Jan Aushadhi Diwas celebrations have been particularly special as the week-long festivities have been organized in the picturesque towns of Kargil and Leh in the union territory of Ladakh. The celebrations have been marked by a series of events that have attracted huge crowds and generated great enthusiasm among the people.
In addition to the Mela, various other events have been organized, including awareness campaigns, free health check-ups, and the distribution of free medicines. These initiatives have been particularly beneficial for the people of Ladakh, where access to healthcare services can be challenging due to the region’s remote location and harsh climatic conditions.
