Jitendra Singh to Launch Special Campaign 3.0 Website for Government Office Efficiency.

In a significant development aimed at enhancing the efficiency of government offices and public service delivery, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology, MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy, and Space, is scheduled to inaugurate the website https://scdpm.nic.in. This dedicated web portal marks the official launch of Special Campaign 3.0 on September 14th, 2023, at the prestigious National Media Centre in New Delhi.

The launch event will bring together nodal officers responsible for Special Campaign 3.0 and Nodal Officers of Public Grievances and Appellate Authorities from all 84 Ministries and Departments of the Government of India.

“During this event, several crucial documents will be unveiled, including the Special Campaign 3.0 Guidelines, which outline the campaign’s objectives, strategies, and implementation plan. Additionally, the Special Campaign Progress Report, covering the period from December 2022 to July 2023, will shed light on the achievements and milestones reached during this period. Furthermore, the Monthly Report of Secretariat Reforms for June-July 2023 will also be released, providing insights into administrative reforms”.

The Government of India has announced Special Campaign 3.0, which is scheduled to run from 2nd October to 31st October 2023. This campaign places a strong emphasis on two key aspects: “Swachhata” (cleanliness) and “Reducing Pendency” in government offices, adopting a comprehensive and saturation approach.

The Cabinet Secretary addressed all Secretaries of the Government of India on 25th August 2023, setting the stage for this crucial campaign. The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) issued comprehensive guidelines for Special Campaign 3.0 on 1st September 2023, outlining the strategies and objectives to be pursued.

“Special Campaign 3.0 extends its focus beyond Ministries and Departments to encompass field and outstation offices responsible for service delivery or having a public interface. This expansion aims to address concerns and issues at every level of government, ultimately improving citizen experiences with government services”.

The preparatory phase of Special Campaign 3.0 will commence with the launch of the dedicated portal on September 14, 2023, and will continue until September 30, 2023. During this period, Ministries and Departments will identify areas of pendency in selected categories and finalize the campaign sites, ensuring that the campaign is well-prepared to achieve its objectives.
