On the 5th of February, Jitendra Singh extends birthday wishes to the Chief Minister of Sikkim Prem Singh Tamang.
Prem Singh Tamang, also known as PS Golay, is a politician and the current Chief Minister of Sikkim, India. He took office on May 27, 2019, after leading his party, Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM), to a historic victory in the Sikkim legislative assembly elections.
Before entering politics, Tamang worked as a music teacher and was known for his contributions to the music and cultural scene in Sikkim. He formed the SKM party in 2013 and rose to prominence as a charismatic and pro-development leader, focusing on issues such as unemployment, corruption, and lack of infrastructure in the state.
Under Tamang’s leadership, the SKM has implemented various welfare schemes and initiatives aimed at improving the standard of living for the people of Sikkim. Some of his notable achievements include the launch of a universal health insurance scheme for all citizens, the implementation of a pension scheme for the elderly and disabled, and the development of infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and airports.
Despite facing numerous challenges and opposition from rival political parties, Tamang has remained focused on his vision for a better Sikkim. He has been widely praised for his transparent and honest approach to governance and has been actively involved in ensuring that the benefits of development reach the most marginalized sections of society.
Prem Singh Tamang is a visionary leader who has made a significant impact on the lives of the people of Sikkim. His commitment to the development and welfare of the state has earned him the respect and admiration of citizens, and he continues to work tirelessly to bring about positive change in the region.
