However, the narrative of Manisha Patra, who not only serves as the proprietor of the organization Anandam but also exemplifies the potential of a specific platform, the Josh app, is a compelling illustration. Manisha’s evolution from a Josh content creator to a catalyst for positive change stands as a heartening tale of joy and benevolence.
An impressive start
Manisha Patra embarked on her journey with the Josh app on the platform’s inaugural birthday. Little did she anticipate that this association would unfold to profoundly impact her life. The Josh app, renowned for its captivating short videos, served as a channel for her self-expression and creative endeavors.
Utilizing the income she generated through Josh, Manisha embarked on a noble mission. Determined to contribute to society and impact the lives of underprivileged children, her initial initiative involved supplying books and school essentials to those in greatest need. Manisha’s altruistic actions were driven by the sense of responsibility and purpose sparked within her by the Josh app.
Disseminating Joy Through Each Video
Last year, Manisha utilized her earnings from Josh to share videos of creating sweets for underprivileged individuals. Inspired by Josh’s dance content, she ventured into teaching dance to children from an underprivileged school, offering her services without charge. What adds a special touch to this journey is that Manisha’s videos, tagged with #durgapuja, gained recognition on the Josh app, bringing immense joy to the children as their talents were showcased on such a significant platform.
Manisha’s impact expanded beyond school supplies and dance classes. Through her organization, Anandam, and her team are dedicated to spreading happiness and making a positive societal impact. True to its name, Anandam’s central mission is to experience and share joy with everyone.
Hailing from Halisahar, this year holds significance as it marks the 300th birth anniversary of Ramprashad Sen, a revered poet from her birthplace. In celebration, a thousand idols were crafted and distributed, free of charge, to various locations in India and abroad. Notably, these idols were also presented to notable figures like actress Aparajita Adhya and several ministers.
Turning the focus back to Anandam, its diverse initiatives encompass teaching dance to underprivileged children, organizing free medical camps, supplying books and stationery to those in need, and hosting online competitions throughout the year that draw participants from Bangladesh and nine states. With a total of 16 events, including dance, song, recitation, calligraphy, photography, and more, Anandam invites artists from distant corners every Sunday for live performances on its stage, creating a platform to celebrate and applaud their exceptional talents.
Observing Pujo with Intent
Anandam’s schedule is brimming with activities dedicated to spreading joy and generosity. During Kali Pujo, they distributed clothing to the underprivileged, organized Bonedi Bari Puja, and honored participants of Sharod Utsav, all without any cost.
The organization is renowned for its Sharod Samman initiative, where they welcome Puja pandal applications without seeking any financial contributions. This commitment to celebrating Pujo without financial burdens reflects the selflessness and joy that Manisha and her team embody.
The journey that commenced with the Josh app has propelled Manisha Patra and her organization Anandam onto an extraordinary path of spreading joy and generosity. Her story stands as a testament to the potential for positive impact that resides in the digital world, where a single app can serve as a catalyst for joy and transform lives for the better.
