Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, a prominent figure in Indian politics, recently emphasized the pivotal role of Eastern India in the nation’s economic and social advancement. Recognizing the region’s profound cultural heritage and historical significance, Scindia underscored the commitment to prioritize its development during India’s transformative “amritkal” or golden era.
Addressing the vital need for connectivity as a catalyst for progress, Scindia highlighted a significant step forward in this direction. He inaugurated a new airport at Utkela in Kalahandi, coupled with the launch of a new air service between Utkela and Bhubaneswar under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) UDAN. This collaborative effort involved Mr. Naveen Patnaik, the Chief Minister of Odisha, along with General Vijay Kumar Singh.
The launch of this new air service is anticipated to yield multifaceted benefits. Beyond bolstering Odisha’s civil aviation sector, it holds the potential to invigorate employment opportunities, stimulate entrepreneurship, and foster inclusive development.
