Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, the Minister of Civil Aviation in India, expressed enthusiasm and admiration for Akasa Air’s remarkable achievements during Wings India 2024. In a statement, he lauded the airline, saying, “A terrific start to Wings India 2024.”
The minister extended his congratulations to Akasa Air for securing a landmark order of 150 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. This achievement is particularly noteworthy as it establishes Akasa Air as the only Indian airline to boast a firm order book of over 200 aircraft within a mere 17 months of commencing operations.
Scindia emphasized the airline’s pivotal role in strengthening connectivity across the nation, stating, “As India’s newest airline, Akasa Air has firmly established its presence in the aviation ecosystem, enhancing connectivity across the country.”
Wishing the airline smooth skies and continued success, Scindia acknowledged the significance of Akasa Air’s contributions to the burgeoning Indian aviation sector. The airline’s rapid growth and substantial aircraft orders underline its commitment to becoming a major player in India’s dynamic aviation landscape.
