Prakash Javadekar, born on January 30, 1951, is a prominent Indian politician affiliated with the BJP. His political journey has been marked by significant contributions, having served as the Minister of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change from May 30, 2019, to July 7, 2021. Notably, he previously held the same portfolio from May 26, 2014, to July 5, 2016.
Prakash Javadekar’s political career includes being elected to the Rajya Sabha, representing Maharashtra in 2008, and later re-elected from Madhya Pradesh in 2014. Following the BJP’s triumph in the 2014 General Election, he assumed the role of Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Environment, Forests, and Climate Change under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Additionally, he served as a Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and briefly held the Information and Broadcasting portfolio.
As an official spokesperson of the BJP, Javadekar has played a crucial role in shaping the party’s narrative. His dedication to public service extends to his personal life, where he is married to Prachee Javadekar and is a father of two sons. His contributions to Indian politics and governance are commendable, making him a respected figure within the political spectrum.
