An Indian actor, screenwriter, comedian, and film director, Kader Khan (22 October 1937 – 31 December 2018) was known for his work in Hindi films. He appeared in over 300 Bollywood films after his debut in the 1973 film Daag, starring Rajesh Khanna, in which he acted as a prosecuting attorney. He wrote dialogues for 200 Bollywood films in the period from the 1970s to 1999. Khan graduated from Ismail Yusuf College, which is affiliated with Bombay University.
After 1984, he started getting lengthy roles as a supporting actor in films like Masterji, Dharm Adhikari, Nasihat, Dosti Dushmani, Ghar Sansar, Loha, Insaniyat Ke Dushman, Insaf Ki Pukar, Khudgarz, Sherni, Khoon Bhari Maang, Sone Pe Suhaaga, and Vardi. There were films written with him as the main lead from 1988, such as Karz Chukana Hai, Jaisi Karni Waisi Bharnii, Biwi Ho To Aisi, and Ghar Ho To Aisa.
Personal Life:
Khan lived in Mumbai until he moved to Toronto due to health reasons. He had three sons Sarfaraz Khan, Shahnawaz Khan, and a third son Quddus. Quddus lived in Canada and died in 2021. Several films have been acted in by his son Sarfaraz Khan. Khan was reported to have taken citizenship in Canada. Khan visited Mecca in 2014 to perform Hajj.
