In a series of unfortunate setbacks for Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, her latest action-packed venture, ‘Tejas,’ has struggled at the box office, failing to cross the Rs 4 crore mark within its opening weekend in the domestic market.
Even after its third day in theaters on Sunday, the film showed no significant improvement in box office earnings, managing to collect a net of merely Rs 3.80 crore.
The film faced a lackluster response right from its release day on Friday, earning a meager Rs 1.25 crore, which is significantly lower than its reported production budget of a whopping Rs 60 crore.
Here’s a breakdown of the film’s earnings over the weekend:

- Day 2 [1st Saturday]: ₹1.30 Crore
- Day 3 [1st Sunday]: ₹1.25 Crore
- Total Weekend Collection: ₹3.80 Crore
Directed by Sarvesh Mewara, ‘Tejas’ is centered around a fictional Indian Air Force pilot and her mission to rescue hostages from terrorists. Alongside Kangana Ranaut, the film features Anshul Chauhan, Varun Mitra, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Vishak Nair in pivotal roles.
Kangana Ranaut, known for her bold and fearless stance in the film industry, has faced a series of challenges with her recent releases. ‘Tejas’ appears to be yet another instance where the star’s box office performance has fallen short of expectations. Despite this setback, Kangana’s fans remain hopeful for her upcoming projects, and the actress continues to make waves both on and off the screen.
