The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to close the application window for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET January 2024) today, November 27. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and have not applied yet must act quickly, as the deadline for application submission is 11:59 pm tonight.
CTET 2024 Exam Date and Locations:
The CTET 2024 is scheduled to take place on January 21, with examination centers in 135 cities nationwide. The results are expected to be declared in February, marking a crucial milestone for aspiring teachers.
Application Fee Details:
Candidates falling under the General and OBC categories are required to pay Rs 1,000 for one paper and Rs 1,200 for two papers. For individuals belonging to SC, ST, and differently-abled categories, the application fee is Rs 500 for one paper and Rs 600 for both papers.
Exam Structure and Format:
The CTET 2024 exam comprises two papers – Paper I for teachers of classes 1 to 5 and Paper II for teachers of classes 6 to 8. The test paper consists solely of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with no negative marking for incorrect responses.
How to Apply for CTET 2024:
Candidates can apply by visiting the official website ctet.nic.in. The process involves registration, login using generated credentials, completing the application form, uploading required documents, and paying the applicable fee. A confirmation page should be downloaded and printed for future reference.
