Bollywood Weddings of 2022: The year 2022 was full of weddings. Many of our favorite celebrities and cute couples of the year tied the knot with each other.2022 has been a big year for celebrity weddings. Many more celebrities have tied the knot in India, from Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor to Mouni Roy and Sooraj Nambiar, from Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar to Vikrant Massey and Sheetal Thakur.
Mouni Roy-Suraj Nambiar:
Naagin actress Mouni Roy married her entrepreneur boyfriend Suraj Nambiar on January 27 in Goa. The couple married in Bengali as well as in South Indian customs in the presence of their family members and close friends. Only those closest to the couple attended the intimate ceremony. Mouni’s close friends from the entertainment industry including Arjun Bijlani, Mandira Bedi, Manmeet Singh of Meet Bros musical duo, and Aashka Goradia also attended.
Farhan Akhtar – Shibani Dandekar:
Actors Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar married on February 19, 2022, in an intimate wedding ceremony attended by close family and friends at Farhan’s Khandala farmhouse, followed by a reception at their Bandra home on February 21. The day’s wedding was attended by celebrities including Farah Khan, Rhea Chakraborty, Satish Shah, Ashutosh Gowariker, and Ritesh Sidwani. Newlyweds Shibani Dandekar and Rhea Chakraborty are best friends and have often stood by each other. Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar were dating for almost three years.
Vikrant Massey – Sheetal Thakur:
Vikrant and Sheetal, who starred together in the first season of the web series ‘Broken But Beautiful’ Massey and Sheetal Thakur started dating in 2015. The two got engaged in a private Roka ceremony in 2019. Vikrant Massey & Sheetal Thakur tied the knot on the 18th of February. For the wedding, Vikrant Massey wore a cream-colored sherwani with a pink turban and Sheetal looked beautiful in a red lehenga. They married according to Hindu rituals.
Ranbir-Alia:
After dating for almost 5 years, cute couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied the knot on April 14. 2 tied the knot at their “favorite place – the balcony”. Alia Bhatt’s said, “Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home… at our favorite spot – the balcony where we’ve spent the last five years of our relationship – we got married. The actors fell in love with the sets of the famous film ‘Brahmastra’ and got engaged in an intimate wedding ceremony held at Ranbir’s balcony in Bandra. Only family members and close friends of the couple attended the wedding. Recently, the couple was blessed with a daughter ‘Raha’ on 6th November this year.
Richa Chadha-Ali Fazal:
Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal split their celebrations on October 4, 2022, between Mumbai, their home, and Lucknow, Ali Fazal’s ancestral hometown. The couple wore identical ivory outfits designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Richa opted for a Gharara set with intricate Chikankari embroidery, which featured full sleeves and a matching dupatta draped on the front. Richa Chadha chose Sunita Shekhawat pieces to highlight the outfit. The couple celebrated their union on October 5 at their Mumbai reception with friends and family from the industry.
